Author's Guide

Guidelines for the preparation and submission of manuscripts.

Manuscript Preparation

Authors intending to publish papers in the Journal of Research and Review in Science (JRRS) are advised to carefully read the following instructions. Manuscripts that are not prepared in accordance with these instructions may be returned for revision prior to review.

General Format

  • Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise English.
  • The text should be prepared in Microsoft Word, double-spaced, on A4 size paper with 1-inch margins on all sides.
  • Use Times New Roman font at 12-point size.
  • All pages should be numbered consecutively, starting with the title page.

Structure of the Manuscript

Your manuscript should be organized into the following sections:

  1. Title Page: Should include the full title of the paper, the names and affiliations of all authors, and the contact information (email and phone number) for the corresponding author.
  2. Abstract: A concise summary of the paper, not exceeding 250 words. It should state the purpose of the research, the principal results, and major conclusions.
  3. Keywords: Provide 4 to 6 keywords for indexing purposes.
  4. Introduction: State the objectives of the work and provide an adequate background, avoiding a detailed literature survey or a summary of the results.
  5. Materials and Methods: Provide sufficient detail to allow the work to be reproduced. Methods already published should be indicated by a reference: only relevant modifications should be described.
  6. Results: Results should be clear and concise.
  7. Discussion: This should explore the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. A combined Results and Discussion section is often appropriate.
  8. Conclusion: The main conclusions of the study may be presented in a short Conclusion section.
  9. Acknowledgements: List here those individuals who provided help during the research (e.g., providing language help, writing assistance or proof reading the article, etc.).
  10. References: Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list (and vice versa). References should be formatted in APA style.

Tables and Figures

  • All tables and figures should be numbered consecutively in the order of their appearance in the text.
  • Each table and figure must have a descriptive title.
  • Ensure that all figures are of high resolution (at least 300 DPI).
  • Tables should be created with the table tool in Microsoft Word, not as images.
